View and edit asset types

Facilities Drawings lets users view all asset types in the system. These types are predetermined and cannot be edited or removed. However, admins can edit the fields that appear for them. All asset types have associations to Uniformat and Master Format standards.

To view asset types:

Select Assets > Asset Types. The Manage Asset Types page appears.

To edit Tooltip fields:

1. Select Assets > Asset Types. The Manage Asset Types page appears.

   

2. Next to the asset type(s) you want, click the Asset Type Icon. A pop-up appears.

   

3. On the Tooltip Fields tab, in the Unselected column, highlight the fields you want, then click .

   Notes:  You can select up to three fields. If you want more than three, repeat the process. To deselect fields, under Selected, highlight the fields, then click .

4. To change the field order, use the up and down arrows.
5. Click Save.

When clicking an asset stamp that uses the corresponding asset type, the tooltip fields appear.

To edit modal fields:

1. Select Assets > Asset Types. The Manage Asset Types page appears.

   

2. Next to the asset type(s) you want, click the Asset Type Icon. A pop-up appears.

   

3. On the Modal Fields tab, in the Unselected column, highlight the fields you want, then click .

   Notes:  You can select up to three fields. If you want more than three, repeat the process. To deselect fields, under Selected, highlight the fields, then click .

4. To change the field order, use the up and down arrows.
5. Click Save.

The modal fields appear:

• On the Asset Details page.
• When editing on the annotation page.
